From one local store to a Brisbane favourite

What started as a single store venture back in 2010 has grown into Brisbane's most-loved destination for Indian and international groceries. Multiple stores, thousands of products, and a community built on quality and customer satisfaction.

What We Stand For

  • Quality First

Every product on our shelves is one we'd put in our own kitchen.

  • Authentic Range

Indian, Asian and international — sourced from brands you know and trust.

  • Community Roots

Built in Brisbane, for Brisbane. Since 2010 and growing.

Where It All Started

First store in Sunnybank Hills. A simple belief — that Brisbane deserved a proper destination for authentic groceries from India and beyond. That belief hasn't changed since.

A styled still life of various whole grains, legumes, and spices arranged in rustic brass bowls on a stone surface against a warm textured orange-brown background. Visible items include yellow lentils, white chickpeas, green peas, red lentils, coriander seeds, star anise, and dried red chilies.

Growing Across Brisbane

The Aspley store opened in 2018, bringing Swades to Brisbane's north. A year later the customer count hit 10,000 — growth that came not from marketing, but from shelves worth trusting and service worth coming back for.

2022 — Today

Springfield and Beyond

Springfield joined the family in 2022, extending Swades into Brisbane's growing south-west. And in 2026, Swades went online — bringing the same range, the same quality and the same care directly to your door.
